Mr. Emmett V. Jordan is the principal & founder of JCPSG. Skilled in marketing, communications, and administration, Mr. Jordan has extensive professional experience providing planning, development, and creative services to non-profits, associations, and businesses.
He has worked with a wide variety of educational, health, cultural, and social service organizations, including:
- Smithsonian Institution
- University of Maryland – College Park
- Plainfield Health Center
- United Negro College Fund
- Saint Michael’s Medical Center
Active in local civic and political affairs, Emmett Jordan is an elected member of the Greenbelt, Maryland City Council (currently as Mayor). He is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Board of Directors, the National League of Cities Community and Economic Development Steering Committee, the Maryland Municipal League Board of Directors, and is President of the Prince George's County Municipal Association.
Mr. Jordan was a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for nearly 20 years, serving on the Washington DC Metro Area Chapter Board of Directors for five years (one term as Vice President for Communication). He held the "CFRE" (Certified Fund Raising Executive) designation from AFP for 7 years.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jordan studied liberal arts at Morehouse College in Atlanta and at the University of Cincinnati, where he later earned a degree in Urban Administration. He completed additional graduate course work in public administration at Seton Hall University and recently a fellowship certificate program through the Institute for Governmental Service and Research at the University of Maryland.
