Mr. Jordan is the principal & founder of Jordan Communications & Professional Services. Skilled in marketing, communications, and administration, Mr. Jordan has extensive professional experience providing planning, development, and creative services to non-profits, associations, and busineeses. He has worked with a variety of educational, health, cultural, and social service organizations including the Smithsonian Institution, the University of Maryland – College Park, Saint Michael’s Medical Center, and the United Negro College Fund. Mr. Jordan is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and served on the Washington DC Chapter Board for five years (including a term as Vice President for Communications). He held the “CFRE” (Certification Fund Raising Executive) designation from AFP for 7 years. As a volunteer, he is involved in numerous civic and community service projects, including board memberships on the Greenbelt Advisory Planning Board, the Greenbriar Condominium Association (Phase I), the Eleanor & Franklin Democratic Club, and co-chairing the Greenbelt Community Foundation. Outside of Greenbelt, he has served as a Prince Georges County Election Judge, and has been an active volunteer leader for the Greater Washington Urban League. He was recently elected to a two year term on the Greenbelt City Council as Mayor Pro Tem. He holds a degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning . Emmett studied liberal arts and music at Morehouse College and at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. |
